hardly anyone knows

Happy 2018, everyone.

I just had to download an update (an *update*, mind you) for the one Xbox game I play that was 5.8 gigabytes in size.

I have literally held, in my hands (plural because it was so big I needed them both), a hard drive that was over one thousand times lower capacity than just that update.

And I transferred it at over a hundred thousand times as fast as the fastest modems of that time.  Consequently, the most expensive.

And the deck of cards-sized external hard drive it loaded onto could fit almost a thousand such files.

And every bit of the tech I just described is largely already old news.

🙂
