(SPOILER ALERT: if you don’t watch it to the end…)
One of the things about art is
you give people an excuse
to take some time
to be quiet and pay attention
to somethingand maybe
under the guise of enjoymentthink about
important things in life
How pretty! Just those pure, picked acoustics, no words. And so well-played it sounds like 12 strings instead of six. If I close my eyes, it sounds like the feeling of spring sunshine and breeze on the cheeks and eyelids. I’m a little reminded of Larry Carlton, who plays pure and unadulterated (jazz guitar) like this.
When we get relocated, I hope you and Carmen will come with us to see our friend, Carol Plunk, play. She’s a story in and of herself. Self-taught on the guitar, writes her own songs.
I’m ashamed to admit I wouldn’t have known the name of the song without the title from YouTube.
You’ve begged a question: what important things do you think about as you listen to this? I’ll tell if you will. (Sort of like “you show me yours, I’ll show you mine,” but chaste. LOL)
